hello all,

i am using vchat for some time and there are some
things that needs to be improved.

First AUDIO is very poor , even the oldest cornell client
buffers audio 100ms , but thats enough for a better
quality.

Link urls, i still need to copy and paste urls
all pc clients use klickable urls .

When i paste an url i need to wait a few seconds
till it appear and vchat freezes for that amount of time.

external audio input would be another great feature
and a german language file as well.

An audio signal when somebody enters the reflector
would be nice too.

The typing indicator is useless when the video
freezes.

Why does people who runs new reflectors
not able to advertise it in the vchat banner.
I just see the 3 same boring banners for ages.

If you are running MacOS X, you may wish to try VChat. It is available in Universal Binary format and will run on either PPC or Intel Macs.

well , i am observing cuseeme for some time and i help
set up a few new reflectors but beside seeing
a few wanking man on some reflectors nothing happens.
Its really sad that a plattorm like cuseeme is in the hand
of a few fags that does not talk or show face anyway.
Cuseeme was used by thousends of users some time
ago , to communicate and have fun.But what else is needet ? You have enough free clients , there are free java based
reflectors but where are the users ? Gone to some
crappy other plattforms like camfrog or jmeeting ?

hi all,

after i played a lot with my configuration file i have a few questions.

1. How can we connect or " peer " some reflectors ? I seems like its also possible to connect "rooms" when i understand it right. ?

Maybe i set up a second reflector to test the peer funktion.

2. What means " reflector.close.my.video=false"

3. since vchat does not have the ability to send a password but the reflector
does , i would like to know if we could test this , because i just have Mac computers with OSX installed

4. I like to know how i could configure the "proxy" function and what is
the advantage of it ? Did somebody get it working ?
Please share the information.!!!!

5.i heard from the " enhanced " reflector that its possible to suppress
codecs or clients , when they are not supported , like the
ivi50 codec, is this possible with poor man ref too ?

6.What does "booters" mean:

( i had the impression that i " boot" som reflectors by mistake , because i run a reflector on the same machine

is there any information around how to write it ?
And will the poor man reflector support it ?

Hi all,
iīve been into cu far to long and do remember "the good old times"....;-o

Back then we had a very good reflector scanner by streak- ok there where alot of crap as well- But there was One place to go and seek for a place to meet other people nekkid or dressed!
Not even this place has a good reflector site where you can add your ref....(sorry...)
Thats one point why cu is falling- you donīt know where to meet!

Another thing is that you/we all are in such a hurry when connecting to a ref! I can see from the logfile from my reflector that peaple are on for 5 secīs. During one hour there could be like 30-40 users that has been in-But they didnīt meet anybody- they missed each other by 2 secs sometime! Hey be on for some minutes and you Will see and meet!!

Third thought...
Let the lurkers in- at least into the lobby! We need them to get cu alive again! If they misbahave- kick them or ban them- easy!

Fourth.
Work together! Donīt just run your own ref- cooperate! Share banners- link reflectors together....to be afraid! There Are enough people out there for all of us!

hello people and fans of cuseeme,
after i try to spread arround my information about the free
java reflector and try to find some people to help , its
like i am talking to myself. :-/

A few month before i get banned from cu-central.com
because i advertised some URLs ,i mean what is this shit
about, these community is nearly dead , there is no
reflector scanner at all so just a handfull of reflectors left
and when you advertise a new or another free reflector you
get banned , hmm no wonder why its dead.
Anyway there is a big rumor about vidcaping and stuff
what i did with several women , this is bullshit i made some
screenshots thats true but i took him on my harddisk and
thats not a crime isnt it ?;-)
Some great memories from times where we had hundrets of people on here anytime.

So i will digg into that java code a bit more and tell you
later.Check my sites and tell me what you think.
I give you supports setting up your own reflector.
any hints helps and people that like to share there

experience with cuseeme are welcome.
